A Regional Sales Manager with New Sunshine Brands since 2015 and former associate working for a National Change of Salons, Jason Brooks has experience in Salon Management and Operations as well as Training and Development.

With over ten years of experience in the sun industry, Brooks has a plethora of information and knowledge to share which makes him a strong support partner for salons. He is able to easily connect with salon staff and additionally offer valuable insight to owners/operators to help grow their business. Rather than focusing on short term gains, Brooks is driven to help salons invest in their future to grow and succeed in business.

Ty Godwin – Owner, Hollywood Tans, Baltimore, MD

Ty Godwin is the consummate salesman.    Current owner and operator of three tanning salons in the Mid-Atlantic area, Godwin’s career began in the industry in 2002 as a tanning consultant.    With experience in selling high-quality tanning equipment to managing corporate salons and selling franchises, he credits his success to a strong business acumen combined with a people pleasing mentality and an assertive disposition.  This combined with his passion to meet the needs and goals of  clients has contributed to a 30-100% growth in revenue year-over-year since the acquisition of his salons.

Godwin holds true to his commitment of strengthening the sun and spa industry by surrounding himself with key players in the industry, and by relating to and empowering his team of professionals to think big and chase dreams.

When Godwin is not at the salon, he enjoys a good happy hour with friends, playing restaurant connoisseur with fiancé-Chris to new and upcoming eateries, researching new technology, listening to music, and spending time with his Boston Terrier – Buxton and Golden Doodle – Moose.

As a Field Sales Representative with New Sunshine, offering brands which include Australian Gold, California Tan, Designer Skin, JWOWW, and Swedish Beauty; Lauren Ardizzone primarily travels within the U.S. working with the Regional Sales Managers to provide training for distributors and salons on product and sales knowledge. She has served New Sunshine in other capacities during her career but finds this role to be the most fulfilling. Her past educational/career experience includes earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the IU Kelley School of Business along with additional experience in the sales/customer service field.

David considers himself a freelance tanning lotion sales professional. He has flashed his Sun E global sales trainer badge at salons across the world, hopping right behind hundreds of sales counters and closing sales to every type of customer that exists. A true beauty product fanatic with over 13 years of sales training experience, David gauges his success as a trainer not by a captive audience at a seminar but solely on how effective he is at selling to real tanners in real time.

Lisa Parsons is the Director of Brand Development for Devoted Creations family of brands. With over 17 years in the industry, Parsons brings her knowledge and enthusiasm to all aspects of the business, including social media, product development, training, customer relations, public speaking and marketing strategies. She has worked at the salon level managing a large chain of salons, which combines her training and brand concepts with real world experience. Parsons was also chose as 2014 Island Sun Times “Person of the Year” making her the youngest industry professional to ever receive this honor. She was chosen for the award again in 2017 making her the first female recipient to achieve this prestigious honor twice.

Michelle Walters, Founder/Owner of Island Glow Sunless Studio, Salon and Beauty Bar became Richmond, Virginia’s first mobile spray tan company in 2010. Walters was introduced to sunless tanning when her dermatologist found skin cancer on her shoulder. This diagnosis produced a “Pioneer Spirit” to build a business in Central Virginia and grow it into something successful. Nine years of experience has established Walters as a 3-time NFL Cheerleader spray tan artist, Miss High School America and Miss Virginia spray tan sponsor along with sponsoring Body Professional & Bodybuilder Spray Tan Competitions. She trained with some of the best Hollywood spray tan artists that work with Victoria Secret models and other Hollywood stars. Walters currently has two salons as well as her mobile business. She is SUNLESS TANNING only and has structured a plan that has contributed to 400% growth in volume and profit in less than two years of opening her most recent salon. Walters is excited to share her business building tips with other independent salon owners to help them grow too.

Lance Donnelly, founder and CEO of Tan Republic Franchise Company, credits his success to a good work ethic instilled at a young age while working for his Grandfather at Filbert’s Farm and at his Dad’s Chevron service station along with managing ownership of a regional Money Mailer. Labeled a jack-of-all-trades, Donnelly later presses on to become the top wine consultant at Willamette Valley Vineyards while attending and playing football at Oregon State University and Western Oregon University where he earned a degree in Economics and Sports Leadership.

Always an entrepreneur at heart, after college, Donnelly and wife Kristina take a risk and an aggressive approach by maxing out personal credit cards to open their first salon. Some 15 years later with intense dedication for branding, and the building of impactful partnerships from those willing to take risks as he did, Tan Republic thrives and evolves. Today, Donnelly has three beautiful children, sixty-five salons under the Tan Republic umbrella, and he is excited to give back to the industry by sharing real-life experiences along the journey of building Tan Republic into a national brand, and what he thinks the future will be.

Donnelly will walk participants through the mechanics of how he runs the day-to-day salon operations with technology, mobile apps, and how he continues to successfully motivate those around him to become project-based instead of routine-based and grow faster than they ever have before.

As the Brand Coordinator and Educator of Pro Tan®, Elysa is committed to the proper education of competition tanning professionals around the world.  She considers herself to be a teacher first, making integrity & transparency the root of all of her lessons. Weissbaum’s sunless career started as a mobile spray tan artist while holding a full-time marketing position.  Her career model now includes managing the spray tanning of global bodybuilders in both amateur and professional competitions along with developing innovative education routes for professional spray tan artist. Weissbaum is passionate about teaching new business owners how to creatively reach new heights with their “side hustle” and full time careers while growing their menu of services and profits through competition tanning.  When not swimming in her self-proclaimed pool of DHA, Weissbaum enjoys spending her time actively supporting the special needs community.

Susan Carlton – Regional Sales Manager, New Sunshine, LLC

Susan Carlton, a 35-year veteran in the industry currently spends her days as Regional Sales Manager promoting the New Sunshine, LLC brand of products: Australian Gold, California Tan, Designer Skin and Swedish Beauty.

Carlton started her career as an independent salon owner where she ran the day-to-day operations for 8 years.  Upon the sale of her salon, Carlton took a position as Sales Manager of a small Distributorship before going to work 5 years later for California Tan managing their largest accounts.

Throughout the industry, Carlton is known for her sassy, southern-style humor and personal stories, and she demonstrates this wit in her teaching skills while sharing marketing advice, display ideas, and good hiring and staff training techniques.  Her ultimate desire and goal are to build a professional and confident staff that promotes success in same day sales increases of 30-60%.

When Carlton is not traveling across the country training salons – that making money can be fun as well as profitable, she enjoys reading and relaxing on the beaches of Siesta Key’s with family and friends.

Professor George Feldman B.S. M.S. is an industry award winning formulation chemist with Australian Gold, LLC. and an adjunct chemistry professor. Earning his Masters in Biochemistry at Indiana University, Feldman has been involved in the sciences for over 15 years, six of which have been spent working in cosmetics. His knowledge of protein crystallography has been a foundation for his work in skincare. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing disc golf, and woodworking. Professor Feldman is excited to share some new findings that have recently emerged in sun exposure research with you.
